Description: This wine surprised me considering the label that had to be done by a female. Oh wait it was! Usually these labels are designed as a quick pick-up marketing to get the consumer to buy, but not really a quality style wine. This one is! It has dark ruby in colour with medium intensity on the nose. The nose is pleasant with light oak, blackberry, cherry, raisins, blueberry & cola notes. The taste is also pleasant with similar notes as the nose. Medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins, medium length & body. This wine is balanced & easy to drink on it’s own or try with chicken with rum & cola sauce or if you’re being more conventional it pairs well with BBQ lamb chops. Drink now or cellar for 1-2 years.
Best Buy. Good complexity & quality for a wine under $15.

Out of 5 stars, I rated this wine: 3.5
THis wine left a terrible taste in my mouth. My rating: 1/5. Never will touch again. UGH.
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate any comments to the wines that I review, be it positive, negative or neutral. In this case, it sounds like it may be a fault in the bottle. If you have the wine, and haven’t dumped it, return to the LCBO for a refund & you don’t need a receipt. If you get a second bottle, but from a different LCBO (as the case of bottles from that particular LCBO store may be tainted), and you get the same result, then this wine isn’t for you.
No this is cheap wine….i’m italian and know wine. This is what we call “headache wine”
I really enjoy this wine. I am Italian and we drink it all the time. Not only has it received amazing reviews from wine writers, it is popular and is a crowd pleaser.
I grew up on a vineyard and know wine quite well – I am also half way through my sommelier degree. Disagree with Silvia, 100%.
